Agrimony or Agrimonia is magic herb which is known by healers of the ancient times by Greek, Saxons, Chinese and of many other nations across the globe. This herb contains some chemicals called Tannins, Flavonoids, Coumarins, Volatile Oils, and Polysaccharides. These chemicals through years of research and its use since old times have people believe in its wonderful applications across many diseases and remedies. Its seeds, flowers, stems and leaves are used in many forms for making medicine and ointments etc. As every part of this plant is useful that is why this herb is widely used in industries and homeopathic concerns.

Recipe of Agrimony Tea
Agrimony tea is commonly used to treat the problems like diarrhea, sore throat, digestion, detoxifies the body by flushing out the toxins from our bodies, and to relieve inflammation and many others.
1 Teaspoon of honey. (For sweetening purpose, don't use sugar as it contains chemicals and will reduce its effectiveness)
Hot/Boiling Water.
Procedure
Add 1 teaspoon of agrimony leaves into a teacup.
Take freshly boiled water and pour it into the cup containing the agrimony leaves.
Allow the mixture to settle for 5-8 minutes so that the ingredients of the leaves get absorb into the water. The longer the mixture is kept the stronger the taste will develop.
After 5-8 minutes, remove the leaves and add honey per your taste. For better results, You may take 2-3 cups daily.
Agrimony Tincture
Tincture is an extract of herbs usually made with alcohol or glycerin. They help preserve the medicinal properties of the herbs and can later be used/consumed either by mouth or orally. Tinctures have longer shelf life and are much suitable especially during the illness.
Ingredients for Alcohol Based Tincture
Agrimony leaves, flower, or stem (as per your need)
A jar (for storage and making)
Alcohol Solution (40-50%)
Procedure
Chop the herbs into small pieces and fill the jar with them to 33-50 percent.
Now pour the alcohol solution until it exceeds the level of the herbs by 2-3 Inches.
Keep the jar in a warm and sunny area and let them settle for about 4 to 6 weeks. Don't forget to shake the jar once or twice daily. Shaking the jar helps mix the ingredients well.
After 4-6 weeks, the solution is ready. Pour the liquid through a mesh strainer and store it for your later use.
Glycerin Based Tincture
Ingredients for Glycerin Based Tincture
Agrimony leaves, flower, or stem (as per your need)
A jar (for storage and making)
Boiled Water.
Food grade Glycerin.
Procedure
Chop the herbs into small pieces and fill the jar with them to almost half. It is better not to press the herbs in the jar. Just sit them naturally.
Now add some boiled water to moisten them and fill the rest with glycerin.
Keep the jar in a warm area for about 4 to 6 weeks.
Shake the jar as much as you can every day. Shaking the jar helps mix the ingredients well.
After 3 to 4 weeks, pour the glyceride through a strainer and store the liquid in a jar or bottle in a dark, cool place.
